Introduction

As a qualified adult nurse since April 2014, I have accumulated valuable experience and skills across various healthcare settings. Initially, I worked at a large city teaching hospital in the clinical decisions unit for six years, where I advanced to the role of sister. During my time there, I undertook additional responsibilities including DVT assessments, teaching, audits, and management. I also pursued further education, completing a PGDip in clinical assessment at Leeds University.

Seeking to broaden my expertise, I transitioned to a role as a frailty practitioner in the community, where I provided in-home support to individuals, focusing on maintaining their well-being and preventing hospital admissions. Although fulfilling, I recognised the need for enhanced patient assessment skills and sought opportunities for growth.

In 2021, I embarked on a new challenge as a trainee advanced clinical practitioner in the emergency department, following the completion of my MSc in advanced practice. Here, I have continued to expand my skill set, including training in point-of-care ultrasound, to provide comprehensive care in a fast-paced environment.

Overall, my journey as a nurse reflects a commitment to continuous learning and development, alongside a passion for delivering high-quality patient care across diverse healthcare settings.

I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
