BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
Adult brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, chest trauma, polytrauma and orthopaedic injuries
I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2006 from the University of Birmingham and have spent the majority of my career working within the NHS in large London teaching hospitals.
Since 2017, I have been based exclusively within St Mary's hospital and currently lead the physiotherapy and occupational therapy team for major trauma and acute neurosciences. I have particular expertise in assessing and managing patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, chest trauma, polytrauma and orthopaedic injuries. I continue to be very interested in patient experience and ensuring equity of patient care. I lead a trauma network rehabilitation sub-group to ensure that learning and education is shared throughout professions and to improve collaboration across care providers.
Since 2014, I have worked exclusively within neurological and trauma services. This includes working with patients across the whole inpatient pathway, from their hyperacute intensive care stay all the way to highly specialised inpatient neurorehabilitation. This has allowed me to have an in-depth understanding and appreciation of individuals’ and their caregivers’ needs at different parts of their journey.
I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
