Introduction

I am a seasoned Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner, proficient in administering a diverse array of aesthetic treatments. I serve as the Clinical Director of my private clinic. Additionally, I hold an appointed role of Regional Leader for East Scotland by the BACN (British Association of Cosmetic Nurses), a role chosen for “exceptional dedication, expertise, and commitment to advancing the field of medical aesthetic nursing” and for “the wealth of experience and passion for excellence that will benefit BACN members” (BACN).

In 1996, I earned my qualifications as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) and BA from Oxford Brookes University and the John Radcliffe School of Nursing. My professional journey began in London, where I gained extensive experience in mixed general medical and surgical wards, as well as in private outpatient departments. Later, I ventured beyond the NHS to work as a Clinical Trainer in robotic surgery, specialising in the daVinci surgical robot, both on the East Coast of America and in the UK. Since 2007, I've dedicated myself to advancing my career by retraining as a Medical Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner, continually refining my skills and expertise. I completed my aesthetic training alongside training to become an Independent Nurse Prescriber, both to master's level.

Before opening my clinic, I worked alongside world-renowned Professor Bob Khanna in London as a support trainer within his Training Academy, attended VIP training sessions with Mauricio DeMaio, esteemed worldwide Aesthetics Trainer for Allergan, and was mentored by Mr. Taimur Shoaib, Plastic Surgeon of La Belle Forme. I later worked at an associated satellite clinic in Edinburgh, and was employed at Beyond MediSpa at Harvey Nichols, Edinburgh for over five years. I also worked for The Private Clinic of Harley Street at their satellite clinic for over five years. Additionally, I've garnered experience as a Trainer for a Medical Aesthetic dermal filler manufacturer and served as a Tutor for Nurses in Medical Aesthetics. Notably, my Medical Aesthetic Clinic has received prestigious recognition, being highly commended twice when chosen as a Finalist three times at the esteemed Medical Aesthetic Awards in the UK for Best Clinic in Scotland.

I regularly administer a wide range of treatments, including toxin anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, skin boosters, plasma BT (Fibroblast treatment), medical-grade skincare, skin peels, LED light therapy, SkinPen (Microneedling), and hydrafacials. My expertise extends to injectable medical procedures, encompassing a comprehensive understanding of potential complications and their management, as well as meticulous record-keeping and prioritising patient safety. At the core of our clinic’s ethical principles lies a commitment to exemplary patient care. We achieve outstanding results through a holistic approach that encompasses a deep understanding of patient anatomy, precise technique, adherence to rigorous clinical hygiene standards, effective management of complications, attentive patient care, and diligent follow-up services.

I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
