Somek & Associates Annual Conference 2024

Our annual conference for 2024 took place on Friday 7th June at The Crowne Plaza in Gerrards Cross. Our conferences are in person every other year, and so for many of our newer experts, this was their first opportunity to come together with our office team and trainers to meet face-to-face. 

This years conference was of particular significance for Alison Somek, our Managing Director, as she retires later this year in September, and so the conference theme was rightly titled 'Building Upon The Legacy Of Our Success'.

Our excellent speakers included solicitors, barristers, and inspirational speaker Bobby Griffin, Badminton World Federation Commentator /Team GB Para Badminton Operations, who provided his own personal view of the litigation process following a personal injury. Bobby also shared with us, his incredible journey through rehabilitation. We also had one of our experienced liability experts presenting one of the liability parallel sessions. She gave an insight into her experiences at trial last year and shared some valuable learning points.

We also had 14 amazing exhibitors, without whom the conference could not go ahead. In these days of virtual presentations, it was an excellent opportunity for our experts to see the equipment/adaptations in person and speak to the companies who provide them.
